Sydney:Australia's wonder kid Michael Clarke will have to roll his arm more, especially in the wake of Darren Lehmann's departure from the international arena.

Clarke who made a century on his Test debut against India in the Bangalore Test has only eight Test wickets at 7.63 including his dramatic 6 for 9 at Mumbai last year.

While his bowling stints in Tests have been brief, Clarke had more opportunities in the early stages of his One-day International career and has 18 scalps in 49 games including a career-best 5 for 35 against Sri Lanka in Dambulla in 2003-04.

"It's more important in the One-day game now that Lehmann is not playing, but he may be able to play more of a role for us in Test matches," said Australian coach John Buchanan.

"He has been picked as a No 6 batsman and that remains the key element of his game, but the bowling will be good for his overall game," he told the Courier-Mail.
