Bangla Tigers leave for England tour on Thursday

Dhaka:A gargantuan task awaits the Bangladesh Tigers as they leave the country's shores on Friday for a tough tour of England.

This will be Bangladesh's first Test tour of England during which the visitors would play two Tests besides featuring in a triangular series with England and Australia as the other teams.

The side led by country's premier batsman Habibul Bashar, would kick off their tour campaign with a three-day game against the British Universities from May 10-12.

The visitors will also play two more three-day warm-up games before the opening Test at the historic Lord's commencing May 26. The second Test will be held at Durham from June 3.

Bangladesh will kickstart the Natwest tri-series with a game against hosts England in the lung-opener at Oval on June 16.

The final is slated for July 2.
