Hyderabad:Brushing aside questions about his recent poor form and the ODI ban, Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly on Thursday vowed to be among runs soon.

"Maybe I am passing through a bad patch but I will bounce back," Ganguly said during a function.

"I am allotting more time for the nets and I am working hard to make the coming season more eventful," he added.

On his six-match ban in the one-dayers for the team's slow over rate twice during the recent series against Pakistan, the Prince of Kolkata said, "when you are playing the game over a period of time, such highs and lows are bound to happen."

He brushed aside further questions on the issue, saying, "such things are part of the game."

On the appointment of a new coach, Ganguly said, "as a skipper I gave my suggestions to the Cricket Board and it is the BCCI that will take the final decision."
