Karachi:Pakistan's representative on the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket Committee and former Test left-arm spinner Iqbal Qasim will not be attending the important International Cricket Council (ICC) two day meeting in Dubai on May 16 and 17.

Qasim, who is also a national selector has intimated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) well in advance over his inability to attend the meeting as he is taking off for United States on some urgent work.

It was still not clear whether PCB would send any 'replacement' representative in place of Qasim for the ICC meeting which would consider an application from Pakistan for the introduction of two neutral umpires in ODI cricket.

It's worth recalling that Pakistan has made a strong call for use of two neutral umpires in One-day internationals instead of the present practice of having only one.
