New Delhi:Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Ranbir Singh Mahendra denied a media report that the BCCI has allowed some leading players to play in USA saying there was no question of granting permission to any cricketer since none of them have even applied for the same.

The report had claimed that top cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag, Anil Kumble, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan would be playing for India-Pakistan XI against a World XI team in Houston next month.

"Yes, we have cleared all the leading players to play in the US," the report quoted Mahendra as saying.

However, Mahendra told PTI that none of the players had even communicated with the Board in anyways in this regard.

"My name has been used that I've given permission for players to play in US which is far from correct. The players have not even applied," the BCCI chief said on the sidelines of the interviews conducted for the selection of national cricket coach.
