Colombo:Out-of-favour former Sri Lankan middle-order batsman Russell Arnold has been named as the captain of the country's 'A' side for the forthcoming home series against West Indies 'A' beginning next month.

The stylish left-hander, who has been out in the wilderness for quite some time now, will replace Jehan Mubarak, who had a poor series with the bat against the England 'A' and Pakistan 'A'.

The touring West Indies 'A' are scheduled to arrive in Colombo on June 16 and will kickstart the Emerald Isle sojourn with a two-day warm-up game at Moratuwa.

The Windies would play two unofficial Tests and five One-day matches.

The first Test will be held at Dambulla from June 23.
