London:The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed that Gloucestershire speedster Steve Kirby would be facing a disciplinary inquiry after being accused of ball tampering.

According to the ECB, the hearing will take place on June 6 after a decision to this effect was reached at by ECB official David Gabbitaas after receiving a report on the same from the club.

Glamorgan has claimed that Kirby, who was signed from Yorkshire at the end of the 2004 season, apparently scuffed the ball on concrete after retrieving it from the Sophia Gardens car park during a game earlier this month.
