London:South Africa-born promising England batsman, Kevin Pietersen who was overlooked for the opening Lord's Test against Bangladesh because of poor form, has been named in the Professional Cricketers' Association (PCA) XI that takes on mighty Australia in a Twenty20 tie at Arundel Castle on June 9.

The 24-year-old batsman, who impressed one and all during the One-day series in South Africa last season, will get a wonderful opportunity to attract the notice of the selectors ahead of the five Test Ashes series starting July.

The match will be Australia's first tour game.

PCA XI: Stephen Fleming (captain), Chris Cairns, Paul Collingwood, Devon Malcolm, Darren Maddy, Chris Read, Chris Lewis, Graeme Swann, Mark Ealham, Phil DeFreitas, Kevin Pietersen.
