London:Former Australia One-day specialist Ian Harvey is mulling an offer to play first-class cricket in South Africa for Western Province Boland during the English winter.

The 33-year-old cricketer, who had asked for a two-year contract from his regular Australia state side Victoria, has only been offered only a 12-month contract at a reduced rate by following which he is weighing options of plying trade during the Australian summer in South Africa.

If Harvey does end up playing for Western Province Boland, he will play alongside along side South Africa captain Graeme Smith, star all-rounder Jacques Kallis and dashing batsman Herschelle Gibbs.
