Ex-WI eves captain Power to lead Trinidad

Port Of Spain :Former West Indies eves skipper and wicketkeeper Stephanie Power will once again captain the Trinidad and Tobago senior side in the 2005 Regional Tournament to be held in Jamaica beginning July.

A leading Caribbean news agency-Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) carried a report which said that Power, who recently hung up her international cricket boots following the 2005 Women's World Cup in South Africa, was named as captain for the senior women in a squad of 18 announced for the West Indies tournament to be held from July 16-31, following trials held over the weekend at the Riversdale Ground in Curepe.

Also figuring in the side are West Indian vice-captain Nelly Williams and Felicia Cummings.

The squad will be pruned to 14 members for the tournament.

Stephanie Power, Sunita Naipaulsingh; Stacey Ann King, Jade Chadee, Lee Ann Kirby, Roxanne Toussaint, Brenda Solozano, Kerbyina Alexander, Nelly Williams, Felicia Cummings, Shane De Silva, Anisa Mohammed, Devika Singh, Marissa Aguillera, Amanda Samaroo, Gaitri Singh, Envis Williams, Erica George.
