Atapattu to travel to Australia for back treatment

Colombo:Sri Lanka captain Marvan Atapattu would be racing against time to be fit for the upcoming home series against West Indies beginning July.

The silky stroke-maker sustained a recurrence of a back problem and would be travelling to Australia for treatment.

He is believed to be suffering from unbeareable pain.

The series against West Indies kickstarts on July 15, which would be followed by a triangular One-day competition, featuring India as the third team.
