Karachi:Fast bowling great and former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram will lead the Rest of the Pakistan XI side in a Twenty20 benefit match for former Test player Rashid Khan to be held in Karachi on July 2.

This is the first instance that a benefit game for a Test player will be played under a Twenty20 format.

Former wicketkeeper and Pakistan captains Moin Khan and Rashid Latif would be the other big attractions of the tie to be played under lights at the National Stadium here.

It may be mentioned here that Rashid figured in four Tests and 29 One-day Internationals for his country.
