Wellington:Former New Zealand cricketer and Auckland captain Brooke Walker has decided to hang up his cricketing boots.

A leg-spinner, and a handy lower-order batsman, Walker appeared in five Tests and 11 One-day Internationals between 2000 to 2002.

Walker had an eight-year stint with Auckland, amassing 1374 first-class runs at an average of 22.52 and harvesting 128 sticks at an average of 31.45.
