Floodlights to be installed in Pindi, Faisalabad stadiums

Rawalpindi:The Pakistan Cricket Board will install floodlights in the cricket stadiums of Rawalpindi and Faisalabad after decks were cleared for formal take over of these stadiums by the Board.

Speaking at the inauguration of a summer training camp by a private cricket academy at Pindi Cricket Stadium here, PCB chief Shaharyar Khan said PCB would take over cricket administration of cricket stadiums at Rawalpindi and Faisalabad, within a week, following an understanding with CM Punjab.

"We will take over the administrative control of these two stadiums probably within a week," he said.

The PCB chairmam said that instalation of floodlights at cricket stadiums of Faisalabad and Multan would be completed in time for home series against England.

"We will make our best efforts to complete this task before the England cricket team begins its tour of Pakistan in October this year," he added.

Khan said facilities like shades for spectators and dressing rooms of international standards would be put up at these stadiums before the 2005-06 season.
