Karachi:After initially being told that he may have to undergo a surgery on his injured right shoulder, Pakistan ace middle-order batsman Yousuf Youhana can heave a sigh of relief.

The medical commission of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that Youhana can recover from his shoulder injury by undergoing a six-week rehabilitation course.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, the doctors of the commission felt that surgery should be kept as a last option as he could recover through a proper rehabilitation process.

Youhana, who has figured in 59 Tests and 199 One-day Internationals, has been diagnosed with damaged tissues in his right shoulder.

The silky batsman will start his rehabilation programme under the supervision of trainer Grant Compton and Dr Sohail Saleem.
