Rawalpindi:The Pakistan Cricket Board would act firmly against over-age players in the domestic circuit.

Talking to reporters here, PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan said stringent action would be initiated against overage players in junior teams.

"We have already taken action against Rawalpindi on this count while inquiry is in progress in six other cases for the same offenses."

It may be mentioned here that PCB recently handed out one year bans on Rawalpindi Cricket Association (RCA) president Masood Anwar and Rawalpindi Under-19 captain Ali Sarfraz after latter was fielded in the recently-concluded Rawalpindi region inter-district Under-19 championship tie despite being found over-aged following an enquiry by PCB.
