Kapil~~s company makes stadia lights presentation

Karachi:Legendary cricketer and former Indian captain Kapil Dev's company Samscu gave a presentation before Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan here at the National Stadium in a bid to win the rights to install floodlights in the cricket stadiums in Multan, Faisalabad and Rawalpindi.

Rohit Dogan, a senior representative of the company, made the presentation through the help of multimedia technology to the PCB chief, who was accompanied by other senior officials of the PCB including Director Board Operations Abbas Zaidi, Marketing Consultant Riaz Mahmood and General Manager Administration Major (retd) Javed Manj.

The Pakistan daily The News carried a report which said that Rohit had outlined the total cost for installing the floodlights in the three stadiums before the start of the international home season from October.

The PCB had entered into contracts with Phillips and Siemens for the installation of floodlights at its two stadiums in Karachi and Lahore, the The News reported.

It may be mentioned here that Kapil, since retiring from international cricket, has engaged himself into several businesses.

Besides running restaurants, sports shops, a construction business, Kapil's company also deals in providing floodlights and video screens at cricket stadiums.
