Windies axe Browne, King from Lankan touring party

Kingston:West Indies have dropped wicketkeeper Courtney Browne and fast bowler Reon King from the 13-member party chosen for the Sri Lankan tour, starting on July 15.

Denesh Ramdin, the 19-year-old wicketkeeper from Trinidad who has played only 13 first-class matches, is the only new face in the squad to be captained by Shivnarine Chanderpaul that will play two Tests and a triangular One-day series involving India apart from the hosts.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) also said that two more players will be added from the West Indies 'A' squad ,which left for Sri Lanka on Friday.
