3 Pataudi accomplices granted bail, 1 more surrenders

Jhajjar:Falling in line with former captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, another co-accused in the black buck hunting case surrendered today, even as three others were granted bail at the end of their police remand.

Chief judicial magistrate Sudhir Jiwan granted bail to Balwan Singh, Mohammad Ayub Khan and Shashi Singh, who had surrendered to the Jhajjar police and were remanded to policecustody yesterday.

Meanwhile, Dayal Singh, Shashi Singh's driver surrendered to the police this morning, police said. With Dayal Singh's surrender, six of the eight accused in the alleged June 3 hunting incident of a black buck and two rabbits near a Wildlife sanctuary in Jhajjar have giventhemselves up.

Police are now on the look out of Karam Singh and Daya Suddin, who are named in the June 5 FIR on the incident. Pataudi and Madan Singh, who was arrested by the police have already been granted bail.

Pataudi and seven others were booked by Haryana police under various sections of the Wildlife Protection Act for hunting a black buck, an endangered species. If found guiltythey face a jail term of upto seven years and a fine of Rs 25,000.
