Dambulla:With the West Indies selectors leaving room for two players to be included from the 'A' squad by choosing only 13 for the Sri Lanka tour, Windies 'A' players have the opportunity to enhance their chances of getting selected for the senior teams when the first of three four-day unofficial Tests starts against Sri Lanka 'A' at the Rangiri International Stadium in Dambulla tomorrow.
As West Indies 'A' captain Daren Ganga indicated at the press conference, on Monday, there are several players in his side vying for places in the West Indies Test team.

With the sponsorship row that has resurfaced casting doubts over Windies sending a full-fledged team to the Emerald Island, a key source in the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) said they could use the three signed players plus the West Indies 'A' team already in Sri Lanka to meet obligations.

It is worth recalling that the WICB gave contracts to 13 players to sign by Tuesday, but only three players returned their contracts thereby re-igniting a dispute over endorsements that began late last year.

The Windies 'A' players certainly won't be short of motivation knowing full well that all they have to do is to produce some eye-catching performances with bat and ball to attract the selectors' attention.
