Mani to continue in office for one year

London:International Cricket Council President Ehsan Mani would continue in his post for one more year after he accepted a 12 month extension in office.

Announcing this during his address to the Fourth ICC Cricket Business Forum at Lords here, Mani said he was priviledged to receive an invitation to extend his term inoffice for a further 12 months.

"I was honoured to accept this invitation. I would like to place on record my gratitude to all the Members for providing me with the opportunity to serve the ICC for a thirdyear," he said.

"I remain committed to building a stronger ICC, based on strengthening the ties between us and by continuing to act in the best interest of the game."

Mani, who took over the office in June 2003, will now continue till June 2006.
