Karachi:Nine years since Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka jointly hosted the World Cup in 1996, Pakistan is yet to receive over a million dollars of its share from the tournament earnings from India.

According to official sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar Khan, has reopened this outstanding issue with officials of the joint 96 World Cup Organising Committee (PILCOM) in a bid to get the outstanding dues cleared.

It is learnt that Shaharyar held talks with Board of Control for Cricket In India (BCCI) officials recently in London about the outstanding amount owed by PILCOM to Pakistan.

However, PCB director (operations) Abbas Zaidi refused to make any official comments on the issue saying only the chairman was in a position to divulge details.
