Karachi to host Rashid Khan~~s Twenty20 benefit tie

Karachi:A Twenty20 benefit match for former Pakistan medium-fast bowler Rashid Khan will be played between a Pakistan XI led by Inzamam-ul-Haq and the Rest of Pakistan XI led by Moin Khan at the National Stadium on Saturday.

It is worth recalling that the 45-year-old Rashid played first-class cricket for Karachi, Sindh, PWD and PIA from 1975-76 to 1993-94. He appeared in four Test matches for Pakistan with a tally of 155 runs at 51.66 with a career best score of 59 and has taken 8 wickets at 45.00 apiece with a personal best of 3-129.

In 29 One-day Internationals, he captured 20 wickets at just over 46 runs each. He has served as PIA's coach for several years now.

The ticket sale for the match that will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi has started. This will be the first Twenty20 match at the national level and the Pakistan XI line-up will include national players like Inzamam, Yousuf Youhana and Younis Khan, while the Rest of Pakistan XI includes Moin Khan, Misbah-ul-Haq, Faisal Iqbal among others.
