Ghaziabad:Former Test player Ajay Jadeja supported International Cricket Council's (ICC) initiative of introducing substitution rule to the One-day Internationals saying it would make the game more interesting.

"The decision of playing 12 players in One-day matches, instead of 11, will make the game more interesting," Jadeja said.

The ICC recently allowed soccer-like substitution and increased field restriction from 15 to 20 overs in the ODIs on the trial basis for 10 months with effect from July 30.

The Delhi player, who was in Ghaziabad to meet management students on Friday night, said he was waiting for his return to the national side.

He praised the India team and its captain Sourav Ganguly and added that it could compete against anyone in the world.

When asked he said he never wanted to make films his career and cricket was the only aim of his life.
