Mumbai:The tours and fixtures committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) which will meet in Mumbai tomorrow is likely to come out with plans to bring in radical changes in the domestic structure.

An important proposal is to induct National Cricket Academy (NCA) as the sixth team in the Duleep Trophy tournament from this season after a disastrous experiment with foreign outfits.

It may be mentioned here that the Board, in an effort to raise the competition level and give the five participating zonal teams a feel of international cricket, had allowed a foreign team to play in the tournament.

While an England team took part in 2003, a Bangladesh side made up as the sixth team last year. But both the foreign entries put up a poor show, forcing the BCCI to rethink.

The sources said that the NCA team would be constituted with the players of the NCA left out of the zonal sides.

If the committee gives its nod, the matter would be placed at the next working committee meet of the Board for final approval.

The meeting which is being held after around three months will also decide on the forthcoming season's domestic itinerary and the change in points system for the Ranji Trophy tournament.
