''The tour has not been scrapped but only deferred. We are in constant touch with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and we are working on finding a time that suits both the parties,'' BCCI secretary S K Nair was quoted as saying.
It may be recalled that after India's tour of Bangaldesh in December last year, the latter was originally scheduled to India in April but BCCI deferred the visit because of the high-voltage home series against archrivals Pakistan.
Subsequently the tour was rescheduled in October, but BCCI postponed it because the schedule coincided with the International Cricket Council (ICC) Johnie Walker Super Series and two big festivals (Diwali and Dhashara).
''The itinerary is quite packed and so we are considering other options to find the right alternative,'' Mr Nair said.
