New Delhi:The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will conduct exams for the national panel of umpires after a gap of 10 years and finalised the list of elite panel umpires.

''The exams for all India panel of umpires, which was last held in 1995, would be held in mid-September,'' chairman of the BCCI umpire's committee C K Khanna said.

''The elite panel has also been finalised and will be made public after the BCCI working committee's ratification,'' he added.

He said that the 20 umpires would be selected from the Ranji panel based on the performance of the last three years who would be asked to sit for the aforementioned exam.

''A list of 20 umpires would be made on the basis of their last three year's performance and they would take up the exam for the all India panel,'' Mr Khanna added.
