Karachi:The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to include its representatives in its future committees, be it to select a World XI or to pick players for annual awards.

PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan today sent a letter to ICC President Ehsan Mani demanding representation and have also advised its Director Cricket Operations Saleem Altaf, currently in Dubai, to take up the matter in the Chief Executives' meeting starting today.

"In the letter we have asked the ICC to include Pakistan representatives in future committees," PCB's Director Board Operations Abbas Zaidi said.

The PCB rushed its letter after a public and media outrage following Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq's exclusion from the World XI for October's Super Series against Australia in Australia.

"We have not asked the ICC to reconsider its decision regarding Inzamam but have certainly mentioned the resentment in public and media following the selectors decision to ignore Inzamam," Zaidi, a former Pakistan Ambassador to Somalia, said.

Country's cricketing legends have questioned the decision to exclude Inzamam while the media have accused the selectors of showing their tilt towards South African players.
