Karachi:Lt. General Munir Hafiz, who heads the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), has rejected reports in some sections of the Pakistan press that he was in line to take over as chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) very soon.

Asked for his comments on the various reports in the newspapers that the PCB leadership was going to be changed and he was in contention to take over as the chairman, he said no one had approached him for the job.

"I can only say that while I love cricket but as far as I'm concerned, no offer has been made to me to run the Cricket Board at any stage," he stated.

There has been some speculation since the PCB chief Shaharyar Khan and other Board officials met the chief patron of the Board, President General Pervez Musharraf that changes were going to be made in the Board soon.
