Chandigarh:A review committee to probe into India's string of losses in recent cricket tournaments would be meeting shortly, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Ranbir Singh Mahendra said here today.

"We are going to review the performance of our team. The team's recent outings in Sri Lanka, the triangular series in Zimbabwe and the team's performance in the current Test series will be among other things which will be discussed," Mahendra told reporters.

The committee would meet on any day between September 25 to 30 at a venue, which was yet to be decided, he said.

Asked to comment on the tendency of India to fail in the finals, Mahendra said, "everybody is concerned. Now that we are going to meet we will discuss this aspect".

The committee, to be headed by Mahendra, will have coach Greg Chappell, Sunil Gavaskar, S Venkataraghavan, Ravi Shastri, Jagmohan Dalmiya and S K Nair as its members.

The committee was originally set up to pick the Indian coach.

On the possibility of Sachin Tendulkar joining the team in Zimbabwe, he said, "at present he is not fit. We will decide on this the moment he feels 100 per cent fit".

Regarding the Board's annual general meeting, he said it would be held in Kolkata on September 22-23. Among other things to come up at the AGM would be the issue of accommodating cricket in Commonwealth Games 2010.

On the team sponsorship issue, he said, "we will let you know about this later". The contract with Sahara, the current sponsors of the Indian team, is coming to an end in November.
