The touring Zimbabwe squad will arrive in the region on April 12 for a month-long tour. They are scheduled to play two Tests and ODIs. The visitons will also play a University of the West Indies Vice Chancellor's XI in a three day game at the Three W's Oval in Barbados, prior to the first Test in Guyana
Zimbabwe will also play a One-day practice match in Trinidad prior to the start of ODI series, also in Trinidad.
The first ever day/night ODI will be played between the two sides in St Lucia on May 10.Immediately after the Zimbabwe series, the India team will arrive for a six-week tour.The Indians are scheduled to play play four Tests, five ODIs, a One-day practice game in Jamaica, a three-day game in Nevis against the WICB XI.
Due to renovations being undertaken at Kensington Oval for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007, there are no Tests of ODIs scheduled for Barbados during the 2006 home series.The WICB also announced that an England 'A' team and the Sri Lanka 'A' team will visit the Caribbean during 2006.
The English team will be in the Caribbean during February and March while the Sri Lankans will arrive in May for a one month-tour. The West Indies 'A' team is scheduled to go on a two-month tour to England next July.
