Three umpires to officiate in Challenger Series

Mumbai:Indian Cricket board's international panel umpire I Shivram, of Hyderabad, and two other umpires would take turns to perform the on-field and third umpires' duties in the N K P Salve Challenger Series day/night limited over tournament to be held in Mohali from October 10-13.

Shivram, Madan R Singh (Mumbai) and T K Handu (Maharashtra) have been chosen to officiate in the tournament, according to board sources.

Shivram and Madan Singh would be the field umpires in the opening tie with Handu being the third umpire while in the second match Shivram and Handu would be the on-field umpires and Madan Singh the third umpire.

Handu and Madan Singh would take care of the on-field umpires' duties while Shivram would be the third umpire in the third league tie.

For the finals, slated for October 13, Shivran and Madan Singh would be the field umpires, the sources added.
