Ganguly has been advised ten days rest for the injury which has been diagnosed as a 'mild tennis elbow sympton'.
The Indian captain flew into the city this morning and was examined by the team's physiotherapist John Gloster and BCCI doctor Anant Joshi.
"Gloster and Dr Joshi examined the injury and also studied the MRI report. In their opinion, it was a mild tennis elbow sympton", the BCCI said in a press release today.
The release said he has been advised ten days rest and would return to Mumbai for reassessment after the ten-day period.
