Western Australia score 24 without any loss

Brisbane:Queensland were poised to claim outright points against Tasmania at stumps in day three of the opening Sheffield Shield match of the Australian cricket season.

The Bulls Wednesday racked up a quickfire 459 in reply to Tasmania's first innings total of 268 then had the visitors at five wickets for 148 and struggling to avoid the follow on at the end of the day.

In Perth, Western Australia were 24 runs without loss in their second innings but still trailed Victoria by 105 runs at tea in the second day of play.
