Rain denies Queensland win in Sheffield Shield

Brisbane:Queensland were denied victory in their Sheffield Shield match against Tasmania after rain forced play to be abandoned.

Queensland had amassed a massive fist innings total of 459 and had Tasmania under pressure at seven wickets for 208 in the second innings when play was abandoned.

In Perth, Victoria were chasing 98 runs for an outright victory at stumps on day three of play at the WACA.

Victoria were four wickets down for 86 runs at stumps on Thursday.
