The batting maestro was on just a few hours' visit to the capital to get a routine examination done by the orthopaedic surgeon, who is on a short visit to the country, Cricket Board sources said today.
Tendulkar, who had come here immidiately after playing in the seventh and final one-dayer in Vadodara yesterday, also had his elbow examined by team physio John Gloster while batting during the match.
The Mumbai player was sidelined for close to six months after undergoing the surgery to treat a tennis elbow and has been prescribed a rehabilitation programme to strengthen themuscles in his left arm.
He returned to international cricket in style with a 93-run knock in the opening one-dayer against Sri Lanka. He last played in the series against Pakistan at home in April this year.
