Host Hyderabad to take on Haryana

Hyderabad:Hosts Hyderabad would take on Haryana, fresh from their exploits against Baroda, in theElite Group B Ranji Trophy cricket match beginning here tomorrow.

Hosts had a severe drubbing at the hands of Punjab in their second encounter while they managed to take two points by virtue of first innings lead against Andhra in the opener.

The match against Andhra has seen some unruly scenes resulting in 50 per cent match fee cut for skipper Arjun Yadav and Andhra player AT Rayudu.

Haryana on the other hand hold six points off three matches they played against Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Baroda.

They defeated Uttar Pradesh and won two points by virtue of first innings lead against Punjab.

Hyderabad relies on its speedster NP Singh to get some early wickets, he will be supported by Kaushik Reddy and Indrasekhar Reddy, who had a good exposure during the practise match South Africa before start of the Ranji season.

Batting has been a matter of serious concern and keeping the Punjab debacle in view Daniel Manohar, D Vinay Kumar, Anirudh Singh should be trying to mend their ways.

Ibrahim Kaleel, the most successful batsman against Punjab is in good nick and will be looking for good score. Youngsters Amol Shinde, Anoop Pal and Pragyan Oja are yet to make their mark in the season.

Haryana hX."!advantage of in-form batsmen Suresh Raina M Rawat and P Sahu who were impressive in the previous matches and the all round skills of Raina would be of good use.

Chetan Sharma, B Bist, Sunny Singh and S Vema will be looking after the batting while Jognder Sharma, A Mishra G Vasisht and P Sahu will be trying to pick up some good wickets.
