Maharashtra leading by 43 runs against TN

Nasik:Resuming at their overnight score of 307, Maharashtra today declared their innings at 318 for nine, taking a lead of 43 runs against Tamil Nadu on the 3rd day of the Elite group A' Ranji match at Hutatma Anant Kanhere ground here.

Anupam Sanklecha (13) and Rohit Jadhav (2) remained not out when Maharashtra captain Hrishikesh Kanitkar called his team back to pavallion, signalling declaration.

Vidyut Shivramakrishnan of Tamil Nadu, opened their 2nd innings and hit 40 before being caught behind wicket.

They were 76 for the loss of one wicket at lunch.

The ground has helped seamers in the last two days as they have bowled 138 overs while spinners bowled just 34 overs.

Maharashtra, having no point in their earlier three matches, are trying to win the match to earn points.
