Ahmedabad:A high-level delegation of the Indian Cricket Board is expected to visit Pakistan laterthis month to inspect venues and facilities ahead of India's tour of Pakistan beginning in the first week of January.

"We have been informed by BCCI that they intend to send a delegation for coordination and assessment of venues and facilities. We have not received any confirmed dates but we expect them to visit before the year end," PCB's Director, Board Operations, Abbas Zaidi told PTI during the fourth ODI between England and Pakistan today.

Indian cricket team will tour Pakistan between January 6 and February 20 for three Tests and five One-day internationals.

Zaidi said he, along with PCB Chairman Shaharyar Khan, called on Pakistan's Interior Ministry on Saturday to review security plans for Indian cricket team's tour of Pakistan.

"It was basically a coordination meeting in which he reviewed security and other issues. It is a high profile series and these routine meetings happen. The Indians were here last year and returned satisfied as they received what we promised.

"The ongoing tour of England should also brush aside any fears of security arrangements," Zaidi said.

However, the PCB is still waiting for BCCI to confirm the tour itinerary although it was sent four months ago and since then has been altered thrice.
