Kolkata:The Sourav Ganguly no-show for Bengal in their Ranji Trophy Group A Elite division tieagainst Gujarat at Surat has ruffled the feathers of selection committee chairman Kiran More, but no action is to be taken on the issue by the Indian cricket board.

More, who watched the second day's play in the ongoing elite division group B tie between Baroda and Punjab here today, confirmed to PTI he has written a letter to Board secretary Niranjan Shah asking the latter to seek explanation from Ganguly on the reason for skipping the Ranji tie.

"I wrote the letter after failing to get a proper reply from the Bengal team coach and the Cricket Association of Bengal on the reason for Ganguly not playing in the match", More said.

Shah said he had forwarded the letter from More to the CAB and no action would be taken against Ganguly.

"I have written to them to give a reply to the selection committee chairman. But no action would be taken against Ganguly," Shah said.

Ganguly was chosen in the Pakistan-bound Indian Test squad after being controversially dropped for the third and final Test against Sri Lanka that concluded in Ahmedabad lastweek.
