Mumbai:With their berth sealed in the semi-finals, former champions Mumbai will find their concluding Ranji Trophy Elite Division Group A' tie the perfect opportunity to warm up for the big occasion, as they take on Maharashtra at the Wankhede Stadium from tomorrow.

With their eight-wicket win over Gujarat in their last outing at Ahmedabad, Mumbai remain unbeaten in the competition, as much as their confidence remains supreme.

Two outright and four first-innings wins in the last six matches reflect a team that has come together beautifully as a winning combination. And the home side certainly would like to maintain that streak before featuring in the last four, even in the absence of Vinod Kambli and Wasim Jaffer, who is on India's tour of Pakistan.

Favourites to top the group, Mumbai have a fine blend of youth and experience with both, the newcomers and the veterans making significant contributions.

Featuring in only his second first-class tie against Gujarat, left-handed opening batsman Sushant Marathe impressed with attitude that helped him to a half century in the secondinnings, while middle order batsman Vinit Indulkar did likewise higher up the order to emphasise the might of the young.

While the young Mumbai players made a significant impact, the contribution of the experienced Ramesh Powar and Amol Muzumdar remained firmly behind them.
