Nairobi:Three leading Kenyan bowlers, including leg spinner Collins Obuya, were left out of the national team for next week's five-match tour of Zimbabwe due to poor form and injuries, Cricket Kenya officials said.

Quickie Martin Suji, the country's most successful wicket-taker in the ICC Intercontinental Cup semi-finals in Namibia last October, and all-rounder Lamech Onyango, were ruled out with injuries while Obuya is still struggling to regain his bowling action following a five-week training stint with Australian leg-spinner coach Terry Jenner.

Opening batsman Ravindu Shah and left-hander Hitesh Modi were also left out of the 14-man squad after they failed to turn up for the pre-tour training under new coach Roger Harper.

Kenya will play five One-day matches in Zimbabwe before returning home to prepare for another tour of Bangladesh in March.
