Sydney:India eves slumped to their third loss of the series against Australia, losing by nine wickets in the third and final women's One-day international at Adelaide today.

Today's loss capped the disastrous performance by the Indians, losing the ODI series 0-3 and the one-off Test by an innings.

Chasing a modest target of 129 for a win, skipper Karen Rolton (56) and Alex Blackwell (63 not out) scored half centuries to steer the hosts to an easy nine wicket victory and clean-sweep the series 3-0.

Indian bowlers could not make any dent into the Aussie innings after claiming the wicket of opener Jodie Purves for three in the third over off the bowling of Jhulan Goswami.

Rolton was dropped three times and the hosts romped home with 15.4 overs to spare.

Earlier, Indian batters submitted tamely before the Aussie attack scoring just 128 for seven wickets at the rate of two-and-a-half runs an over.

Openers Jaya Sharma (23) and Anjum Chopra (22) made steady starts, but none of their colleagues could make a decent score with Reema Malhotra top-scoring with unbeaten 27.

Rolton, who also collected two wickets for six runs in six overs today, was named player of the series.

India lost the first ODI by six wickets and the second ODI by 12 runs.

In the first ODI, batting first, India could score only 89 runs, while in the second ODI, chasing a target of 173, they were all out for 161.

Brief scores: India 128 for seven (Malhotra 27 not out, Jaya Sharma 23, Anjum Chopra 22, Rolton 2-6) Australia 129 for one (A Blackwell 63 not out, Rolton 56 not out, Jhulan Goswami one for 19).
