Bangalore:Deposed Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has officially complained to the Board of Control for Cricket in India about the comments made by Indian coach Greg Chappell to an English newspaper, reported NDTV. The news channel also reported that Ganguly is planning of taking legal steps against Chappell.

In the interview, Chappell had said that Ganguly had refused to give up captaincy because the job was "utterly important to his life and finances".

The word 'finances' insinuating that Ganguly wanted to be captain for money.

BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah has confirmed that the board has found these comments objectionable and that future action against Chappell will be discussed.

Meanwhile, Ganguly is said to be contemplating legal action, reports the channell.
