Sri Lanka put Pakistan in to bat in first ODI

Colombo:Sri Lanka captain Marvan Atapattu won the toss and elected to field in the day-night first One-dayer against Pakistan at the R. Premadasa Stadium here.

Sri Lanka are without veterans Sanath Jayasuriya and Chaminda Vaas due to injuries.

Both teams have agreed not to use super-subs in the three-match series.

Teams:

Sri Lanka: Marvan Atapattu (captain), Mahela Jayawardene, Upul Tharanga, Kumar Sangakkara, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Russel Arnold, Farveez Maharoof, Kaushal Lokuarachchi, Lasith Malinga, Muttiah Muralitharan, Dhammika Prasad.

Pakistan: Inzamam-ul-Haq (capt), Younis Khan, Mohammad Yousuf, Abdul Razzaq, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Salman Butt, Naved-ul-Hasan Rana, Mohammad Asif, Rao Ifthikar.

Umpires: Steve Davis (AUS) and Asoka de Silva (SRI), Third umpire: Tyronne Wijewardene (SRI)

Match Referee: Alan Hurst (AUS)
