Mumbai:The Ranji Trophy one-day final between Uttar Pradesh and Railways slated for March 21 at Lucknow has been rescheduled and will be now held in Mumbai on April 2.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) executive secretary in-charge Prof Ratnakar Shetty told mediapersons here today that the match has been rescheduled as the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) expressed its inability to secure the ground from the State government for the match.

''The UPCA informed us about the decision of the Uttar Pradesh government not to release the ground for the match and therefore, it was decided to reschedule the match, which will now be held on April two here,'' he added.

Prof Shetty also said R P Singh and Piyush Chawla, who were released from the Indian team to be able to help the Uttar Pradesh team for the final, had already left and therefore, did not rejoin the team for the ongoing Test at Wankhede stadium here.
