The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will now issue on tenders for Global Media Rights for a period of five years for all matches that India will play on neutral ground (non ICC member country) outside India, including media rights for the upcoming Indo-Pak Friendship Series in Abu Dhabi, according to a Board release here.
The last date for submission of tenders is April 5 at noon at Nirlon House in Mumbai, and the tenders will be scrutinised on the same day. The financial bids will be opened on the following day in the Capital between 2:00 and 5:00 pm at the Oberoi hotel, the release said.
The friendship series to be played at the Zayed Stadium on April 18-19 in Abu Dhabi is being organised as a fundraiser for the October 2005 earthquake victims in Pakistan and India.
These matches are recognised by the ICC and will be counted as official One Day Internationals (ODI).
