Pakistan announce team for Abu Dhabi One-dayers

Lahore:Pakistan yesterday axed out-of-form opener Salman Butt from the 14-member squad announced to play India in two One-day internationals later this month in Abu Dhabi.

The selectors named uncapped left-arm spinner Abdul Rahman in Butt's place for the matches to be played on April 18 and 19, a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) release said here.

The entire earnings from the first One-dayer will be donated to aid the victims of the October 8 devastating earthquake.

The proceeds from the second game will be shared equally by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and PCB.

The team will leave for Abu Dhabi from here on April 16.

Pakistan squad: Inzamam-ul-Haq (Captain), Younis Khan (Vice-Captain), Mohammad Yousuf, Abdul Razzaq, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Kamran Akmal, Naved-ul-Hasan, Imran Farhat, Faisal Iqbal, Danish Kaneria, Mohammad Asif, Iftikhar Anjum, Abdur Rehman.
