That the former cricketer-turned-commentator is anything but good at number crunching came out in open on Tuesday when he, at the post-match presentation ceremony, congratulated Man of the Match Younis Khan and asked as to how he was feeling after ''scoring first half-century against India.'' Clearly foxed by this faux pas, Younis Khan, who made 71 not out to guide Pakistan to a six-wicket win on arch rivals India, seemed to be at loss of words as he begged to differ from the commentator
''I don't think it's my first fifty against India,'' a surprised Younis said.
However, Rameez was quick to glance the embarrassment, if any, off the back foot towards the fine leg boundary.
''Oh then our statistics guru must have got his information wrong,'' quipped former Pakistan skipper.
Interestingly, Rameez was a witness to Younis' 74 not out in the fifth and final one-dayer in Karachi when India toured Pakistan earlier this year.
