St Lucia:West Indian bowler Pedro Collins was reprimanded for excessive appealing when he dismissed India's V.V.S. Laxman on the opening day of the second Test in St Lucia.

The left-arm paceman became the second player in the series penalised for the offence after India's Virender Sehwag was fined 20 percent of his match fee over an incident in the first Test in Antigua.

Laxman appeared to walk after edging a ball before the umpire had a chance to make a decision, said International Cricket Council match referee Jeff Crowe who conducted the hearing.

But Collins's reaction landed him in hot water.

"Pedro pleaded guilty to the charge and was apologetic for his actions," said Crowe.
